The funding for this comes from a historical (dormant) infrastructure funding pot from central Government for the whole of Cambridgeshire from which I have fought long and hard to secure funding specifically for East Cambs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The money will support capital projects in our communities \u2013 projects that deliver new and improved infrastructure and facilities to support the growth of our district. A scheme, including details of how communities can apply for funding, will come to the Finance and Assets Committee in the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside the recent addition of community facilities to our Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) list there has never been a better time to access funds for community facilities. So, anyone out there with projects that you are working on that need funding support please get ready!
